Chandigarh, Aug. 15 -- During the verification and scrutiny of the electoral roll, over 18.56 lakh voters were identified under "no mapping-unmapped cases" as their details could not be mapped with the previous electoral roll, while over 26.31 lakh voters have been identified with various types of discrepancies," Haryana chief electoral officer (CEO) A Sreenivas on Friday said.

These cases are being examined according to the prescribed procedure, he added.

To provide the concerned voters an appropriate opportunity to present their case and submit the required documents and evidence, hearing notices are being issued and till August 14, a total of 19,35,126 notices have been issued.
