India, April 1 -- Shreyas Iyer has been slapped with a fine of INR 12 lakh after the Punjab Kings captain was found guilty of maintaining a poor over rate during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 match against the Gujarat Titans in New Chandigarh on Tuesday. PBKS got up and running in IPL 2026 by beating the 2022 Champions GT by three wickets, overcoming a middle-order collapse, but Iyer, who suffered an injury scare, received a rap on the knuckles, with the IPL committee reprimanding him for the offence.
