India, April 15 -- Unidentified assailants shot dead a 29-year-old readymade garment shop owner in the Dharamkot subdivision of Moga on Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased, identified as Gurpreet Singh Garry, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to his forehead inside his Mahindra Scorpio near Pandori village on the Moga-Jalandhar highway.
Family sources confirmed that Garry had been receiving extortion calls from gangsters and had recently been provided with a police gunman. However, the security personnel was not accompanying the victim at the time of the attack for unspecified reasons.
