Self-reliance in defence not optional: cds
RANCHI, Sept. 20 -- Chief of defence staff General Anil Chauhan on Friday called for self-reliance and creativity in the defence sector to "win today's battles with tomorrow's technology," and added that being self-reliant in defence equipment was "compulsory and not an option." General Chauhan also said the nation needs to push indigenous development of weapons systems, platforms, and networks.
