India, June 5 -- Women associated with self-help groups (SHGs) in Gautam Budh Nagar received a new platform to market their products with the inauguration of a Saras Shop at the district's Vikas Bhawan, officials said on Thursday.

The outlet, launched under the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM) aims to provide women entrepreneurs a dedicated space to display and sell products prepared by SHG members.

District magistrate Medha Roopam on Thursday inaugurated the shop and interacted with women associated with various self-help groups.

During her visit, the DM reviewed products including spices, pickles, papad, jute bags, sanitary pads, handicrafts, khadi garments and honey.
