India, Sept. 9 -- The Supreme Court on Tuesday pulled up the Odisha government for delaying a decision on the remission plea of Rabindra Pal Singh, the convict in the murder of Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two sons, and threatened to summon the concerned secretary if a decision is not taken by September 17. Noting that the matter has been pending with the state for two years, the court said, "Why are you unnecessarily delaying the matter?" The state sought an adjournment, citing the illness of its advocate-on-record PV Yogeswaran.
