Russian airspace tense after Zelensky's big warning, foreign airline suspends flights
India, Sept. 4 -- Air Tanzania on Friday suspended flights to Russia, first foreign ailine to do so, following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statement about the threat to Russian airspace
Air Tanzania cited security concerns and said the decision follows a routine risk assessment of the operating environment along the route.
"Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) wishes to inform its valued customers and the general public that flights TC422 and TC423 between Dares Salaam and Moscow are temporarily suspended with effect from 4* of September, 2026," the statement shared on Facebook read.
