Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 17 -- The death by suicide of an RSS worker and a suicide attempt by another person - both seeking a BJP ticket for the upcoming Thiruvananthapuram municipal corporation polls sparked a row in Kerala.
On Saturday, a 40-year-old RSS activist was found dead in a shed adjacent to his home in Thiruvananthapuram, an incident that the local police confirmed as suicide. In a WhatsApp message to his friends, the activist claimed that he was denied a BJP ticket.
State minister V Sivankutty said the BJP/RSS were becoming a threat to their own members, the BJP said the two victims were not in ticket contention.
