India, Feb. 13 -- Former president of the Delhi University (DU) students' union (DUSU), Ronak Khatri, has challenged DU's October decision to withhold his provisional degree in Delhi High Court. "I was told that there are pending dues of Rs.10 lakh on behalf of DUSU that needs to be paid, which is why my degree is being withheld. I had asked as to why I was not informed during my tenure and no bills, information was given when I was president," Khatri told HT. Khatri's tenure as ended in August 2025. DU registrar Vikas Gupta said, "All DU is requesting is that the dues be cleared and the degree will be released. These dues are for the student's guests staying in the guest house and food arrangements." htc
