Retd colonel's kin held hostage at home, robbed
Gurugram, June 7 -- At least four unidentified armed suspects were booked after they allegedly held family members of a retired Army colonel hostage, robbed them of their belongings and fled with valuables worth over Rs.15 lakh from their house in Sector 23, police said on Saturday.
The incident took place between 2.09am and 3.15am on Thursday at the four-storey residence of the retired colonel CL Jain, an officer said. Jain, his wife, his younger son, who had recently returned from the US, and his grandson were asleep on the ground floor, while his elder son, Vikas Jain, his wife, and their minor daughter were on the first floor.
