India, Aug. 23 -- A wildfire called the Hawk Fire broke out near Somersett in the foothills of northwest Reno on Saturday, prompting evacuation orders for nearby areas.

The fire started around 11:30am on Saturday, off the Hawk Meadow Trail, about one mile north of Cold Creek Trail in Somersett, according to Watch Duty. The blaze is burning across Sierra and Washoe counties and has already scorched around 2,500 acres.
