New Delhi, Oct. 17 -- The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday postponed the recruitment examinations for the posts of principal and vice-principal in Delhi government schools by more than two months.
According to a statement issued by UPSC on Friday, the examinations for 124 principal and 704 vice-principal posts will now be held on January 9, 2027, in the forenoon session from 9.30am to 11.30am.
The development comes days after the Delhi Government School Teachers' Association (GSTA) urged the UPSC to postpone the examinations, stating that routine school responsibilities and field duties related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) had left teachers with little time to prepare for the examination. htc
