RANCHI, Aug. 24 -- The Ranchi Cyber Crime police station issued an official legal notice to X Corp demanding user data for the handle @JPSCreformanch (JPSC JSSC REFORM MANCH). The account is accused of running an organised misinformation campaign targeting the government of Jharkhand.

The order, signed by DSP Pankaj Kumar on August 22, stems from a criminal investigation registered under the Kotwali police station case.

According to police documents, the targeted account repeatedly posted fabricated videos and images designed to incite public alarm and social unrest.
