India, Aug. 11 -- Rainwater accumulated on Tuesday in a part of the Noida International Airport in Uttar Pradesh's Jewar, less than two months after it started operations.

The airport saw its first flight take off and land on June 15, while the airport was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 28.

Videos of water running inside the airport premises went viral on social media.

According to a statement from the Noida Airport, the water was cleared within 30 minutes.

"Following extremely heavy rainfall over a short time period, rainwater temporarily entered the passage connecting the terminal with the parking area. Airport teams responded promptly, clearing the water under 30 minutes," the NIA statement said.
