Chandigarh, Oct. 13 -- Punjab tourism and cultural affairs minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Sunday announced that the state government will commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Teg Bahadur.

As part of the celebrations, four major nagar kirtans (religious processions) will be held, culminating at Anandpur Sahib on November 22. Sond called upon the Sangat (devotees) to participate in large numbers and pay tribute to the supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru.

The main nagar kirtan will begin on November 19 from Srinagar and pass through Jammu, Pathankot, Dasuya, Hoshiarpur, Mahilpur, and Garhshankar, before culminating at Anandpur Sahib on November 22. The procession will halt at Jammu, Pathankot, and Hoshiarpur.
