India, Aug. 24 -- The city police registered 10 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act across eight police stations on Saturday as part of a coordinated crackdown on drug consumption and possession in public places.

"Strict action will be taken against those found involved in violations of the NDPS Act. Our teams are conducting checks across different areas, and further action will be taken as per the findings of the investigation," said additional commissioner of police (crime) Tejaswi Satpute.
