New Delhi, July 25 -- India's private sector activity expanded at its slowest pace in more than four years in July as a sharp loss of momentum in services outweighed an improvement in manufacturing output, while inflationary pressures intensified, according to HSBC Flash Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) data released by S&P Global on Friday. The HSBC Flash India Composite PMI Output Index fell to 54.3 in July from 57.1 in June. While the reading remained above the 50-mark separating expansion from contraction, it is the lowest since February 2022 (when it was 53.5) and the same as the reading in March 2022.
