India, April 4 -- The Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) has initiated a series of corrective measures and stricter monitoring mechanisms across its depots to improve the efficiency and reliability of public bus services, said Mahesh Awhad, recently appointed as chairman and managing director of PMPML.

A meeting of the board of directors has been scheduled on April 13 to review the current status and decide the future roadmap.

Over the past week, PMPML has intensified checks to ensure that all buses are properly inspected before leaving depots, particularly during early morning operations.
