Parl panel to meet former CJI, members of civil society on ONOE
New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- The next sittings of the Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the 'One Nation, One Election' (ONOE) bills will be held on August 11 and 19, with participation from legal experts and members of civil society, including former Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna. The panel headed by BJP's PP Chaudhary is also drawing up a list of economists including former RBI governor Raghuram Rajan and former planning commission deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia. "We do want to call them to get their opinion on how much money can be saved by holding simultaneous polls,'' said Chaudhary.
