Panel gets 2nd extension, report now due on Oct 10
New Delhi, Oct. 2 -- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi has extended the deadline for its five-member committee investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide of a 31-year-old student to October 10, marking the panel's second extension, HT has learnt.
The committee was scheduled to submit its findings by September 30, but the report was not submitted by the deadline due to delay in recording of statements, according to a person familiar with the matter.
HT had reported that the committee had failed to submit its report by the earlier September 30 deadline.
The process had been delayed after some students' statements had to be recorded again.
