India, June 5 -- More than 100,000 illegal exotic cockroaches have been seized in Australia in what authorities believe is the country's largest-ever seizure of illegal exotic invertebrates.

According to Australia's Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW), authorities confiscated more than 100,000 exotic cockroaches from a property in Bathurst, New South Wales. The department estimated the collection to be worth around AUD 200,000 (approximately USD 143,000).
