India, Aug. 31 -- An Indian woman based in Australia has sparked a discussion online after sharing her experience of returning to India and realising how much money she would spend simply trying to socialise or explore Mumbai. In an Instagram video, user Smidha compared the experience with her life in Australia, where she said people can spend time together at parks, beaches and libraries without necessarily having to spend money.

"I recently went back to India and realised how much money I spent just trying to hang out there," Smidha said in the video. She recalled being in Mumbai and wanting to explore the city, but found that "somehow every plan either became about a cafe, restaurant, or a mall."
