No Carlos Alcaraz, no shortcuts: Why Vijay Amritraj isn't handing Wimbledon to Jannik Sinner
India, June 28 -- Just like what it did to the French Open this year, Carlos Alcaraz's injury has undoubtedly altered the complexion of Wimbledon. On paper, it looks like an easy task for Jannik Sinner to defend his title at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London. But Indian tennis legend Vijay Amritraj feels that such an assumption may not be a great idea, as to defend his title, Sinner will need to win seven matches against elite players.
Speaking to Hindustan Times, Amritraj explained the testing challenge Wimbledon poses for players.
