India, Sept. 29 -- The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has directed the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) to submit details of alleged illegal constructions violating environmental norms in Greater Noida.

The NGT issued these directions on September 24 during the hearing of an application filed by former municipal corporator Rajendra Tyagi, who alleged that unauthorised construction was continuing in Noida and Greater Noida despite the tribunal's earlier directives.

The tribunal took note of a compliance affidavit filed by the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board (UPPCB), which stated that it had written to GNIDA seeking details of the alleged constructios, but had received no response.
