News site moves Delhi HC against takedown
New Delhi, Sept. 20 -- Digital news platform NewsLaundry has moved the Delhi high court, challenging the Centre's September 16 directive, ordering news publishers to remove several reports and videos related to businessman Gautam Adani's Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) in 36 hours.
The September 16 order by the Union ministry of information and broadcasting was issued to several news outlets and independent journalists, including Dhruv Rathee, Ravish Kumar, Abhisar Sarma, Deshbhakt (Akash Banerjee), Paranjoy Guha Thakurta, following the Delhi court's September 6 gag order.
