GORAKHPUR, Aug. 29 -- Three more bodies, including those of two men and a woman, were recovered from the Gandak river in Uttar Pradesh's Kushinagar district on Saturday amid devastating floods in Nepal.

With this, the number of bodies recovered from the Gandak river system in Kushinagar and Maharajganj districts has risen to 13 over the past three days, including seven in Kushinagar and six in Maharajganj.

Suspected to have been swept downstream from the neighbouring country, the bodies prompted authorities to launch efforts to establish the identities of the deceased.
