Nehra looks for CWG springboard to Asian Games
Mumbai, July 25 -- Last month, Aryan Nehra knocked off a much-yearned timing benchmark. For a couple of years after he first sprang onto the big stage in 2023, Nehra chased that sub-8 minute mark in 800m freestyle with an obsessive mindset. He waded through Olympic-sized pressures, health setbacks and form dips even as the elusive number stayed out of reach.
Now, in the 22-year-old's first CWG, Nehra wants to look beyond timing targets. He is eyeing a bigger picture - the Asian Games - while testing himself in a much more competitive field in Glasgow. "For me, the most important thing is to be ready for Asian Games. The CWG will be a cool opportunity to race world-class swimmers in a high-level environment before Asian Games," Nehra told HT...
