JAMMU, Aug. 27 -- In a major intelligence-led operation, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Jammu, has busted a cross-border heroin trafficking cartel, resulting in the seizure of 5.160 kg of heroin and the arrest of its mastermind among three drug peddlers, said officials on Wednesday.

Acting on specific intelligence on August 22, NCB sleuths intercepted a vehicle at Panjtirthi in the old city.

"Search of the said vehicle resulted in the recovery and seizure of 5.160 kg of heroin from two accused persons, both residents of Baramulla," said an official spokesperson of the NCB.
