NBW against Farooq in JKCA case recalled
Srinagar, March 13 -- A local court in Srinagar on Wednesday recalled a non-bailable warrant hours after issuing it against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah in connection with a case of alleged financial irregularities in J&K Cricket Association (JKCA), considering his condition following an assassination attempt on the veteran leader.
Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) Srinagar Tabassum had issued the warrant as Abdullah, 88, failed to appear in court either in person or online. The magistrate also rejected the National Conference (NC) chief's plea seeking an exemption from appearance before the court.
