Dehradun, July 20 -- Members of a Hindu right-wing organisation and local residents of Haridwar's Kankhal area assaulted a 30-year-old Muslim man and tied a dog leash around his neck allegedly after he visited a Hindu friend at her house, police said on Sunday, adding that a case has been registered against unidentified people in relation to the case. According to the police, the incident took place on Saturday, when the victim, identified as Shadab, originally from Karnal in Haryana who works in a hospital in Haridwar, visited his friend's house in Kankhal.
