India, June 4 -- The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) office on Thursday morning received a bomb threat mail, prompting authorities to evacuate the premises, officials said.

MCG officials told HT that the hoax bomb threat was received around 10:06am. Following the threat, the officials evacuated the building and began sanitisation of the premises as part of standard operating procedures.

The building also houses the regional office of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and an Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) office, both of which were evacuated following the threat.
