India, Dec. 30 -- For many Indian students, moving to the US is a dream come true, but for one Reddit user, the transition became a physical nightmare. In a viral post that has struck a chord with the diaspora, a student from Mumbai shared her experience of how her health spiralled after relocating for college.

"I didn't realize how much moving to the US would affect my body," a Redditor wrote, adding, "I came here for college, first time living alone, in a small town. Back home in Mumbai, India, I was always active without thinking about it, walking everywhere, catching locals, eating home food."
