India, Sept. 3 -- Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar (NCP-SP) MLA Rohit Pawar on Wednesday rejected Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) chairman Vivek Bhimanwar's clarification on the Drug Inspector examination paper leak, alleging that the Commission was trying to "shift responsibility" by focusing on the timeline of the incident.

In a statement issued on September 2, Bhimanwar said the paper leak occurred in January 2026, before he took oath as MPSC chairman on February 18 and assumed charge on March 3. He said the Commission had taken the matter seriously, filed a police complaint, initiated an investigation and formed a high-level internal committee to recommend preventive measures.
