New Delhi, Sept. 19 -- Global credit ratings agency Moody's on Friday sharply raised its India growth forecast for fiscal year 2026-27 (FY27) to 7% from 6%, citing the country's "demonstrated resilience to global shocks" wrought by the West Asia war. Moody's revised projection is more optimistic than that of peers such as S&P and Fitch, which are assessing potential economic risks stemming mainly from the Iran war. S&P retained its FY27 growth projection for India at 6.6% in August, while Fitch Ratings trimmed its forecast to 6.4% this month from last month's 6.7%.
