The tournament, which ended last month with India defeating Pakistan in a tense final, remains in the headlines weeks later. The Asia Cup trophy, which should have been handed to the victorious Indian team following their win over Pakistan in the final, remains locked inside the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) headquarters in Dubai under strict instructions from ACC Chairman and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi.
