India, Feb. 4 -- Sen. Mitch McConnell has been hospitalized after experiencing "flu-like symptoms," David Popp, a spokesperson for the Kentucky Republican, said Tuesday, February 3, according to Politico. McConnell checked himself into a local hospital "in an abundance of caution" Monday night, February 3, Popp said.

McConnell missed Senate votes on both Monday and Tuesday. His "prognosis is positive," and he remains in "regular contact with his staff and looks forward to returning to Senate business," Popp said.
