Agartala, Aug. 16 -- Tripura police arrested two persons and apprehended four minors for allegedly gang-raping a minor girl in a village in Tripura's Gomati district, police said on Sunday.

The adult suspects persons were sent to judicial custody for 14 days, while the four minors were sent to a juvenile home on Saturday.

Police said the incident occurred on August 1 when the survivor (aged above 16) was going home alone after her two friends had reached home. The accused, who were standing on the road, then allegedly forcibly took her to a forest and gang-raped her.
