India, Sept. 3 -- The suspect in the Minneapolis shooting was reported "down" Wednesday afternoon after opening fire inside an apartment building, injuring two police officers and several other people.

The shooting happened at Loring Towers, also known as Shoreline Plaza, at 15 East Grant Street near Loring Park and the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Police responded to the building shortly before 5 p.m., and a large law enforcement operation followed. One officer was shot in the stomach and the other in the leg, according to reports from local news outlets.

At least one civilian was also confirmed dead after being taken to Hennepin County Medical Center.
