Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- A migrant worker from Chattisgarh was killed on Friday and another severely injured when terrorists opened fire on them in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, police said. This is the second terror attack in south Kashmir in the last one week, and a first in the valley since the Pahalgam attack in 2025 that killed a civilian. According to police, terrorists opened fire on the brick kiln workers in Friday evening in Kilam village, which is 16 kilometres away from Kulgam town, injuring them both in the attack.
