Shillong, Oct. 29 -- An interstate human trafficking network that lured young women through social media before selling them across states under the guise of marriage has been dismantled, Meghalaya's Ri-Bhoi police said on Tuesday, adding that three people, including a woman believed to be the kingpin, have been arrested following a series of coordinated operations spanning Assam, Tripura, and Rajasthan. The case began after an FIR was lodged on June 11 reporting a missing girl from the Byrnihat area.
