New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- The Municipal Corporation of Delhi's (MCD's) contractual multi-tasking staff ended their month-long strike on Friday, after receiving assurances of their demands being looked into by a 10-member MCD committee, the mayor's office said. Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh said the committee assured all legitimate demands of the workers will be fulfilled. "The committee held detailed discussions with representatives of the employees and carefully listened to their issues and demands," the office of the MCD mayor said in a statement.
