India, Oct. 24 -- A fire broke out at five temporary shops selling tea and snacks in Raipur, near Sector 125 in Noida, on Saturday afternoon, killing one person, Gautam Budh Nagar police said.

Six fire tenders were deployed to douse the blaze, which prompted panic in the area.

According to the police, a person was found unconscious during firefighting operations and was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Senior police officers were present at the spot, and further action was underway, the commissionerate said.
