Bhopal/Guna, July 20 -- A man, who ran over a couple while trying to escape police after the seizure of a truck laden with poppy husk, was found dead in Guna district on Sunday, police said.
Initial probe suggested that the 32-year-old resident of Kota died by suicide, said Anand Rai, City Superintendent of Police.
The man was allegedly accompanying a truck carrying poppy husk, in a car. When a narcotics team seized the truck on Friday, the man fled.
The car driver first ran over a couple on a bike and then hit a bystander. While the couple died on the spot, the bystander suffered injuries. On Saturday evening, the body of the same man, identified by documents found in his possession, was found near the Pagara Railway Station.
