Thiruvananthapuram, May 29 -- A Kerala man who spent nearly 20 years in a Saudi Arabian prison after being convicted of murder and whose release was facilitated by a massive crowdfunding campaign returned home on Thursday in an emotional reunion with his family.
Abdul Rahim, a native of Feroke in Kozhikode district, broke down on seeing his mother, Fathima, and other close family members at their residence in Kodampuzha.
"I did not believe that I could return home today. I have gone through a lot of mental distress while being in jail. It's beyond words.
