Bhubaneswar, March 6 -- A 44-year-old man died after being attacked by another man with an axe outside a court complex in Bhanjanagar town of Odisha's Ganjam district on Thursday, police said. The deceased, identified as Ashok Kumar Swain (44) of Buduli village in the Bhanjanagar area, had come to attend a hearing at the additional district judge court earlier in the day. According to police and local residents, Swain had just stepped out of the court premises when he was allegedly attacked by one Dilip Jena. Swain was immediately taken to the Bhanjanagar Sub-Divisional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police later reached the spot, seized the axe and detained the accused for questioning.
