Silchar, Sept. 16 -- A special Pocso court in Assam's Dhubri district has sentenced a man to death for raping and killing a four-year-old girl in 2023. The court stated that the crime fell under the "rarest of rare" category.
Police said the incident took place on September 4, 2023, under Chapar Police Station limits. The accused allegedly abducted the girl, raped and strangled her to death, and threw the body in a forest area.
