Luxury bus to be launched from Noida to IGI airport
NEW DELHI, Sept. 6 -- Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport will next week introduce luxury coach services linking the airport with Noida and Greater Noida, making it the first airport in India to operate dedicated "airport-city" buses. The initiative, announced on Friday by airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), will offer round-the-clock services at Rs.199 per trip.
Officials said the service is expected to boost public transport use at IGI, where around 20% of passengers currently rely on it. Operated jointly by DIAL and FlixBus, the buses will feature plush seating, CCTV surveillance, USB charging points, and trained crew.
