New Delhi, July 23 -- The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed a resolution suspending Trinamool Congress (TMC) lawmaker Kalyan Banerjee for the remainder of the Monsoon Session over alleged use of unparliamentary language against a woman MP. Banerjee, however, called the allegations fabricated. The Monsoon Session is scheduled to end on August 13. The action comes weeks after Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar formally complained to Speaker Om Birla, accusing Banerjee of "repeated verbal abuse" and misogynistic conduct inside Parliament.
