New Delhi, Oct. 6 -- The Delhi Excise Department has directed wholesale liquor licence holders to apply for a revision of the MRPs of imported liquor brands covered under the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), following a reduction in customs duty. In an order issued last month, the department said the trade agreement, which came into effect on July 15, has reduced the aggregate effective customs duty on specified liquor imports from the UK from 150% to 75% of the assessable value, comprising 25% Basic Customs Duty and 50% Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess.htc
