India, Aug. 21 -- Forensic psychiatrist Dr. Phillip Resnick was the first witness to testify on Friday. He took part in the murder trial via a video feed that experienced some glitches.

Resnick collaborated with prosecutors on the cases involving serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, James Holmes, who was responsible for the Aurora, Colorado movie theater shooting, and Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber, as he informed the jury.

Additionally, he provided testimony in the defense of Andrea Yates during both of her trials in the early 2000s, where she faced accusations of drowning her five children.
